How we repair an MMI unit.
The unit comes apart on an ESD-safe bench and we trace the fault component by component. Rework is microscope-guided and every joint is made with controlled-temperature soldering. MMI head units are the bulk of our automotive bench work, and the underlying faults cluster around a handful of known board issues per generation, so we usually know where to look first.
What we find on the board is usually one of these: a blown capacitor on a power rail, a failed driver IC on an audio or display channel, a cracked solder joint under a BGA, or a corroded ground plane after moisture got in.

- Ship the unit to us from anywhere in Canada, or drop it off at the Orleans bench.
- We run the bench diagnostic and send a written quote.
- Once you approve, we repair it, run QC, and ship it back to your shop with a written summary of what we touched.
