Component-level repair on automotive modules.

Modern automotive electronics fail in predictable ways. A blown capacitor on a power rail, a failed driver IC on an audio or display channel, a cracked solder joint under a BGA, a corroded ground plane after moisture ingress. These are board-level faults that respond well to bench repair under a microscope.

We focus on the work that sits between a shop's diagnostic process and a full module replacement: the component-level repair that gets a module working again without swapping the whole assembly.

Audi MMI head units, 2G, 3G, and 3G+.

MMI head units are the bulk of our automotive bench work. Symptoms vary: dead screen, won't boot past the logo, stuck on loading, intermittent reboot, navigation drive failure, hard-drive corruption, MMI control panel buttons unresponsive, no audio. The underlying faults cluster around a handful of known board issues per generation, so we usually know where to look first.

VAG comfort and convenience modules.

The other recurring bench job is the VW/Audi VAG comfort module, Komfortsteuergerät, central body control module. Window, lock, mirror, and interior lighting faults that look like a wiring problem in the bay often turn out to be a board-level fault inside the module.
