I recently took my laptop to GCOM after it refused to display anything despite being on. The culprit of this issue ended up being worn out hinges. However, the team at GCOM worked hard to diagnose every potential avenue and was always open to continuing their detective work when one apparent solution was not fruitful. I particularly appreciated their professionalism and their clear explanations of the diagnostics they were going to pursue and why.

Jacob at GCOM provided excellent, honest service! He first attempted a simpler fix for my laptop to try and save me the cost of a data transfer and Acer shipping. Even though the transfer was still necessary, his proactive and professional approach was much appreciated. Highly recommended!

After seeing my iPhone on the highway run over by multiple vehicles, I figured it was completely done for. I’m so grateful to have found GCom not only because they patiently explained every cost and step to me but because they kept close communication with me while they retrieved my files. I felt like the only client they were tending to as each professional would call and update me about the status of my phone. The transparency, speed and care they showed me will never be forgotten. I would recommend they be your first call no matter what issue you encounter with your devices.

First time going to a phone repair shop, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. These guys don’t settle for anything less than perfection. While replacing my Flip 7 screen, they noticed the part they received didn’t meet their standards. They gave me a courtesy call to explain the issue and reordered the correct part to ensure my phone was returned in the best possible condition. My husband's old computer's hard drive bombed and we were very concerned that all data was lost. Jacob to the rescue! He diagnosed the problem and immediately began transferring the data to a temporary drive while we went to buy a new computer. Needed the HDMI port replaced on my PS5. Reasonable price, about $165 with tax. Quick work, said it would take between 3-5 days only ended up being a day and a half. Helpful staff, gave me some good suggestions to avoid it breaking it again. Would definitely recommend!

Went ther to fix my ps5 and they made it worse the probleme whit my ps5 was that i couldn't put disc in anymore for some reason and they did a full restart of ps5 now it stuck on safe mode and went to by a usb drive to download fils even that doesn't work now it stuck on safe mode but still recommend the owner called back to see if he can do something or to see if he can fix it even if it been 4 months still gonna try to fix it 👍

Took my son's PC there with issues. Had corrupted drive and BIOS issues. They spent time explaining what was wrong gave me options and now my son's computer is working well. Support Local!

These chaps did a great job on my old Apple Cinema HD display. It's a great monitor, so worth the fix. They didn't just replace modules, but actually found the components causing the problem. And all in about a week. Highly recommend.

I had such a great experience here. The customer service was excellent right from the start, and the staff are super knowledgeable, they really know their stuff. Everyone was also really friendly and easy to talk to. What I appreciated most is that they actually take the time to educate you and explain your options, without trying to upsell or get you to spend more money. It felt honest and genuine, which is rare. I’d definitely recommend checking them out!

Would definitely recommend for controller repairs. I had a few issues with my PS5 controllers, got them diagnosed over a phone call, received a quote, and then decided to move forward with a cleaning for one of the controllers. The drop off was quick, the cleaning happened within the time specified, and the controller is working great now.

They were fast with my repair and it’s been working great. Thanks guys

Clear communication and appreciation for the problem I was experiencing.

Quick diagnosis. Even quicker fix and turnaround time. Overall great experience with a local service provider.

Took a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort Headphones to have a problem investigated. Diagnosis cost $40, they were upfront with possible repair costs, but also confirmed that no repairs would be conducted without prior consent. They took three days, couldn't replicate my issue and informed me of such, and recommended no repairs. Honestly the amount of time they spent investigating the issue followed up by the fact that they didn't find anything wrong with which to charge me, really impressed me. Upfront, honest service I would highly recommend them to anyone for this alone. I can't comment on their ability for tech repair, but the fact they didn't try to rip me off for unnecessary repairs bodes well for their overall competence.

I could not recommend this place more to anyone in Ottawa with laptop or tech issues. I had never heard of this place before but decided to give GCOM Support a shot after calling them over the phone and receiving exceptional customer support. I am very glad I took that chance because they are hands down the best tech repair shop in Ottawa. I had two laptops that died on me recently and I had no clue why. I really didn’t want to buy two new laptops as these worked perfectly fine before randomly failing. They gave me very solid advice and things to try on my own before even taking the laptop in for a diagnostic test, which I really appreciated them taking the time to explain for me. I ended up bringing the laptops in for a diagnostic test and within one day they determined what the problem was (a RAM stick) and called me right away. It was super cheap to get diagnosed (only $60 for 2 laptops). But I ultimately decided not to go through with the repair as Jacob pointed out that my laptop doesn’t support windows 11, which I hugely appreciated him being honest about and giving me his sincere recommendation. I was a bit bummed thinking I’d have to get a new laptop and likely do a data transfer. But all the sudden, as I come in to pick up the laptops, Jacob opens it up and it powers on… I was in complete shock. Then he tells me “I couldn’t leave you stranded with a dead laptop”. He put an old RAM stick they had on hand for me, for free! I genuinely could not believe that they would do this for a customer. They effectively repaired my laptop for the price of a diagnostic test. This is why I seriously don’t think there is a better tech repair shop in Ottawa that truly cares about their customers as much as GCOM Support does. Whether it’s a TV, an old Xbox, a laptop, a piano, they do it all! You seriously can’t go wrong with GCOM Support and it’s worth the far drive if you live 35 mins away like me. Thank you again GCOM Support! Will definitely be returning in the future!

Called on a Saturday regarding a problem opening my computer (Windows 10). GCom corrected the issue the same day! When my wife went in to pick up my computer she brought in her computer because of a problem with Word; GCom sorted it out in minutes, no charge. This is a great resource!

Diagnosed my laptop on the same day I arrived, and replaced the damaged parts on the same day those arrived. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My laptop is still working great two weeks later. Can't recommend this place enough!
