Took a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort Headphones to have a problem investigated. Diagnosis cost $40, they were upfront with possible repair costs, but also confirmed that no repairs would be conducted without prior consent. They took three days, couldn't replicate my issue and informed me of such, and recommended no repairs. Honestly the amount of time they spent investigating the issue followed up by the fact that they didn't find anything wrong with which to charge me, really impressed me. Upfront, honest service I would highly recommend them to anyone for this alone. I can't comment on their ability for tech repair, but the fact they didn't try to rip me off for unnecessary repairs bodes well for their overall competence.

I could not recommend this place more to anyone in Ottawa with laptop or tech issues. I had never heard of this place before but decided to give GCOM Support a shot after calling them over the phone and receiving exceptional customer support. I am very glad I took that chance because they are hands down the best tech repair shop in Ottawa. I had two laptops that died on me recently and I had no clue why. I really didn’t want to buy two new laptops as these worked perfectly fine before randomly failing. They gave me very solid advice and things to try on my own before even taking the laptop in for a diagnostic test, which I really appreciated them taking the time to explain for me. I ended up bringing the laptops in for a diagnostic test and within one day they determined what the problem was (a RAM stick) and called me right away. It was super cheap to get diagnosed (only $60 for 2 laptops). But I ultimately decided not to go through with the repair as Jacob pointed out that my laptop doesn’t support windows 11, which I hugely appreciated him being honest about and giving me his sincere recommendation. I was a bit bummed thinking I’d have to get a new laptop and likely do a data transfer. But all the sudden, as I come in to pick up the laptops, Jacob opens it up and it powers on… I was in complete shock. Then he tells me “I couldn’t leave you stranded with a dead laptop”. He put an old RAM stick they had on hand for me, for free! I genuinely could not believe that they would do this for a customer. They effectively repaired my laptop for the price of a diagnostic test. This is why I seriously don’t think there is a better tech repair shop in Ottawa that truly cares about their customers as much as GCOM Support does. Whether it’s a TV, an old Xbox, a laptop, a piano, they do it all! You seriously can’t go wrong with GCOM Support and it’s worth the far drive if you live 35 mins away like me. Thank you again GCOM Support! Will definitely be returning in the future!

Called on a Saturday regarding a problem opening my computer (Windows 10). GCom corrected the issue the same day! When my wife went in to pick up my computer she brought in her computer because of a problem with Word; GCom sorted it out in minutes, no charge. This is a great resource!

Diagnosed my laptop on the same day I arrived, and replaced the damaged parts on the same day those arrived. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My laptop is still working great two weeks later. Can't recommend this place enough!

The quality of the work done was very good and the service was excellent. They contacted me when the work was completed to let me know it was ready for pick up. I had asked to have a nylon PC board 2 pin connector replaced that had been detached from the circuit board. They replaced it with a barrel connector that I wasn’t expecting because it was a different style of connector but it worked perfectly without any issues. The great thing is that the unit worked perfectly after the repair. I would definitely recommend them and use them myself for any future repairs.

I would recommend GCOM to anyone who needs their services. I brought in a blown fridge motherboard to see if it could be repaired. A new motherboard was on back order and I am still waiting for it. Meanwhile Jacob at GCOM was great. Explained to me what he was going to do. Diagnosed the problem and got back to me before doing anything to confirm what he was going to do and what the total cost would be to make sure I still wanted to move forward with the repair. Extremely grateful and happy with the service and all was done within a week. Great service, great people. I would send anyone who needs their services for repairs without hesitation. Pleased with their service. Brought our PS5 in to get the HDMI port changed & I believe I dealt with Jacob. He took the time to explain what he would do and gave me a recommendation as to how to properly set the console to avoid future issues. More importantly, the work was also done in the time frame that he told me. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you.

My Microsoft Office all of a sudden stopped working. I tried rebooting, then uninstalling and reinstalling, which made me lose all my files. I didn’t know where to go so googled and this company had good reviews. So even though it was across the city, I took a leap of faith and dropped it off. Not only did Jacob get it working again, but he was able to restore all the lost files! I am thrilled!!

Jacob from gcom support has been by far the best experience i’ve ever had with customer support. I had a buggy gpu and he took my entire computer apart piece by piece and tested every single component to locate the exact issue, while calling me to give me updates throughout the whole process, and even including papers with error codes to show me that is was 100% an issue with my gpu. I now know with 100% certainty that any issues I myself or friends and family may have with tech I will 100% point them in the direction of gcom support. Jacob has also gone so far above and beyond as to help me with the entire shipping process to get my gpu repaired by asus. If I could rate this business and jacob’s support a 6/5 stars, I would. Huge thanks to the gcom team.

Had my sons HDMI port replaced/repaired at GCOM Support two days before Christmas and I was so extremely pleased with the welcoming and knowledgeable customer service that they offered on top of that the price was so fair and very affordable. When picked up the cancel if was thoroughly cleaned I was so apprehensive. Great service! I brought my son’s old Nintendo Wii U console for repair after it was showing disc drive error code . Jacob was great to deal with , completed changing out required filters on circuit board , and Wii U is back up and running like new . Great service with friendly staff

My experience here was more then i could of asked for. I have a scuf gaming controller with complexe skills needed and “Jacob” reasured me that he was a very careful and precised person and that he loves doing what he does. Which means a lot to me when someone has that much care into it you know its real! I had talked to him about “tmr” “sticks” to replace my old ones. He was upfront with me not being 100% sure about witch tmr’s where the best. They had some in store with them. So i let him my controller to replace. And as i went to go pick up my controller, he said he had found the top of the TMR’s sticks and that he wasn’t happy to sell these to me since i was very high demanding on having the best, he told me look I ordered in the best TMR’s sticks you can go with ur controller and play with it. But when ill recieve the new one ill change those ones to the best ones. We want out customers to have the best experience and we stand for that. And at not charge for the new tmr’s swap to the best TMR’s. You can’t ask for more then this. Thanks Jacob for the patients and the passion you have in ur line of work we all need people like that in all industries.
