GPU Repair by Mail, Anywhere in Canada

A graphics card that won't post, shows artifacts or crashes under load isn't always finished. Ship it to our bench in Ottawa from anywhere in Canada. We find what failed, tell you whether a repair makes sense, and quote it before any work.

How mail-in GPU repair works

  1. Get a shipping label. Fill in the form on our Ship to us page, choose a shipping option, pay for the label and print it at home. If you'd rather talk first, call us with the card model and what it's doing.
  2. Pack the card. Anti-static bag first, then a sturdy box with enough padding that the card can't move.
  3. Drop it off with the courier. Keep the tracking number until the card is back with you.
  4. Bench diagnosis. We find what failed and send you a written quote. Nothing is repaired until you approve it.
  5. Repair and testing. Board-level work is done under microscope, on the same bench as our walk-in repairs.
  6. Back to you. We pack the card and ship it back. Return shipping is paid by you.

What to tell us about the card

The model (an RTX 3080, an RX 6800 XT and so on), what you see or don't see, and its history: whether it was used for mining, dropped, opened or repaired before, and when the problem started. Put the same note in the box. It points the diagnosis in the right direction from the start.

Packing a graphics card

  • Put the card in an anti-static bag. The one it came in is fine.
  • Fill the box so the card can't slide. The output bracket and the PCIe connector are the parts most exposed if it moves.
  • Send the card only. The PC, power supply and cables stay home unless we ask for them.
  • Take a few photos of both sides of the card before you seal the box, for your own records.
  • Add a note with your name, phone number and a short description of the fault.

When a repair doesn't make sense

Some cards can't be repaired, and some aren't worth it. A failed die, damage to the substrate, or damage spread across many parts can put a card past the point of a sensible repair. If that's what we find, we tell you plainly, with a written explanation, before anything is spent on the repair itself. The diagnostic fee covers the bench time either way.

Ex-mining and second-hand cards

Cards that ran for months at full load tend to come in with the same faults: cracked BGA joints from heat cycling, worn fans, dried thermal paste and stressed power-stage parts. Some of that is repairable. If you bought a used card that failed soon after, say so in your note. It helps the diagnosis.

In Ottawa? You don't need to ship it. See GPU repair in Ottawa and bring the card to our Orleans shop.

Shipping from your province or territory

What's different about shipping from where you are, and what's worth sending from there:

Our Services

No Display or No Post

Cards the system doesn't see, or that lost video output. We work through the power rails and the boot sequence to find what failed.

No Display or No Post details

Artifacting and VRAM Faults

Artifacts on screen, missing memory or memory errors, often traced to one failed GDDR6 or GDDR6X chip that can be replaced.

Artifacting and VRAM Faults details

Crashes Under Load

Cards that crash games or black-screen mid-session. Bench testing tells us whether the fault is on the card itself.

Dead Cards and VRM Repair

MOSFETs, power stages and other parts in the VRM section that feeds the GPU and its memory.

HDMI and DisplayPort Ports

Damaged HDMI, DisplayPort or DVI connectors on the output bracket, replaced with fine-tip soldering.

Cracked BGA Joints

Controlled-profile reflow under the main GPU die, done only when cracked joints are the identified cause.

Frequently Asked Questions

Consumer NVIDIA cards (RTX 20, 30 and 40 series, and older GTX cards), AMD cards (RX 5000, 6000 and 7000 series), and workstation cards such as Quadro, RTX A-series and Radeon Pro when the fault is bench-repairable. Send us the model and what's happening and we'll tell you whether it's something we can help with.
We can give you an idea from the symptoms, but a real answer needs the card on the bench. Call us with the model and what it's doing, and we'll tell you whether it's worth sending.
It depends on what failed. A diagnostic fee covers the bench evaluation, and the amount depends on the device and the kind of fault, so ask us before you ship. After diagnosis you get a quote, and nothing is repaired until you approve it. The diagnostic fee is charged whether or not the repair goes ahead. Return shipping is paid by you.
You get a written explanation of what we found, and you decide what to do with the card. The diagnostic fee covers that work.
No, just the card, unless we ask for more. If you're not sure the card is the problem, call us first. A short conversation about the symptoms can save you shipping the wrong part.
On our Ship to us page: fill in your details and the card, choose a shipping option, pay for the label by card and print it at home. You can also call us and we'll set up the shipping with you.
